“Hi coaches. I'm Tonga Uhila, a Class of 2027 DT/DE who competes for Santa Margarita Catholic HS in Orange County, Calif. Yeah, I'm 5-10 -- shorter than either you or me would like. But if you count me out because of that, you'd be making a big mistake. In our 3-man front I play DE or nose tackle. In our 4-man front, I play DT. Wherever I'm positioned, I get off the ball quick and strong. I'm tough against the run and can hunt down a passer. My strength is a big asset. I qualified for the second day of the CIF wrestling playoffs -- in the 285 class!! -- in my first season as a wrestler. I'm also a good student in the classroom and on the football field. I know I can dominate in college if I can find the right scheme and fit. Don't let my height stop you. It doesn't stop me!Hi coaches.
