File Format Guidance

What We Accept

Print artwork (preferred): PDF/X-1a, with all fonts embedded and all images at 200–400 dpi.
Print artwork (also accepted): EPS, TIFF, flattened PSD. Native InDesign / Illustrator / Quark files are NOT accepted.
Colorspace for print: CMYK or grayscale. Max ink density 300%. No RGB or JPEG for premium covers or full-page ads.
Colorspace for digital + social: sRGB. Resolution 72–150 dpi is fine.
Logos: Vector (SVG / EPS / AI) is best. High-resolution PNG with transparent background is also great. JPG works if it's at least 1500 px wide and on a clean background.
Bleed: Extend artwork 1/8" past the trim on all sides. Keep type and critical elements at least 1/2" inside the trim.
Banners: Vector (SVG / EPS / AI) preferred so we can scale without quality loss. 300+ dpi raster also works.
